We fell into this small but elegant restaurant just back a street from the main shopping row. We've been to Bali many times and this compares with the best to be found there. The fresh snapper with shrimp special was superb, with distinctive Balinese flavors including a typical spicy sambal. The chowder was better than most of what we have had in Maine. Marlon, our waiter, had a great sense of food and humor. There is actually a surprising amount of good food in Aruba, but this one is worth looking for.

My wife and I were looking for a restaurant outside of the usual, so we decided to try Bentang Bali. From the moment Marlon greeted us, we knew we were in for a good experience. Our server Marlon was very knowledgeable of the various types of food on the menu and we asked him for a recommendation. Well, from the wine, to the octopus appetizer, to our mains, to the dessert, all was excellent. I tried the seafood bouillabaisse and my wife had the sesame tofu. We were pleasantly surprised by how flavorful the food was, as well as the generous portions. Marlon then recommended the Yuca cake with Ube ice cream. Even though we had never heard of these, due to the other excellent recommendations, we went with it and were again surprised by how good it was. Great food, reasonable prices and a charming waiter, what else could we ask for! Thank You!

The best food in Aruba. We even let our taxi driver try the food and now he wants to go eat there. The flavors are immaculate. They even brought me out a wonderful pandan ice cream and yuka cake for my birthday. I wish I could eat there everyday.
